Statutory preventive examination (PP) at a general practitioner

At a preventive check-up Get an overview of your health status and health risks before you are surprised by a serious illness.

-Statutory PP is free, covered by health insurance.

- Frequency once every 2 years, for blood donors once a year.

FILLING:

  • medical history, physical examination, including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, BMI (body mass index)

  • check vaccination status

  • urine chemical + sediment

  • recommendation for gynecological preventive examination for women


Up to 40 years:

  • Samples: blood count, blood sugar, creatinine, liver enzymes.


Over 40 years old:

  • tests: blood count, blood sugar, creatinine, cholesterol, triacylglycerols, ALT (liver enzymes)

  • ECG

  • stool for occult (hidden) bleeding

  • recommendation for urological PP in men if prostate cancer has occurred in a first-degree relative

  • mammographic breast examination in women aged 40 - 69 years

  • cardiovascular risk stratification using the SCORE system


Over 50 years:

  • samples: blood count, blood sugar, creatinine, cholesterol, triacylglycerols, ALT (liver enzymes)

  • ECG

  • stool for occult (hidden) bleeding

  • recommendation for preventive colonoscopy

  • recommendation for urological preventive examination for men every 3 years

  • cardiovascular risk stratification using the SCORE system


Densitometry examination is recommended for women over 65 years of age and men over 70 years of age.
